OK, it's not the entire 50 step process we use at Chrome Jones, and in fact, if i add in the first couple
and the last few I have in this attachment, I'd guess we have somewhere around a 55 Step process!
Here is a pretty simple set of instructions for those that need a little more coaching in the right way to
detail a bike.  Remember this is not the entire process that we use at Chrome Jones!  We can't give
out all of our experience and tips in 20 or so steps.  This does not mean that you're without help if you
need it!  If you need advice on using any of our products, please don't hesitate to call us!

ACTION
Supplies needed
Completed
1
Set about a 6-7  hour block aside to run through a complete detail.

2
Pick an area in the shade which is clean, level, and has enough room to
move freely around your bike

3
Put bike on lift or move safely into position of your work area

4
Remove "attached" items.  Bags, windshield, seat, and any other item that
you can remove without taking apart the BIKE!

5
Look closely at all areas of your bike, specifically looking for wear areas,
lose wires, bolts, rub contact areas (bags rubbing frame etc),  make note
of scratches, abrasions, excess dirt grime areas, pitted chrome, rust etc

6
Spray on Custom Cycle Wash Renew- remembering to spray directly on
heavy dirt areas, wetting the entire area.  Modest coverage everywhere
else.(IE focus on visible dirt, and "Mist" the rest of the bike).  Use the right
brushes to get into hard to reach areas, between spokes, and on tires.

7
Let stand for 10 Mins.

8
Rinse bike down, focusing stream on heavy concentration areas.

9
Add 2oz Renew Custom Cycle Wash to 1 gal water.  Using CLEAN Wash
Mitt, wash bike from top to bottom, rinsing off mitt frequently!   After hitting
the entire bike, remember to rinse and go back and focus again on the
areas you spotted during your pre-detail review.   After washing again with
your mitt, rinse thoroughly.

10
Dry using our CYCLE DRYER, or DRY CYCLE CLOTH.  You should wipe
off every part of your bike, drying as you go.   If you see any concentration of
dirt, go back to step 9, and repeat.   DO NOT WIPE OFF DIRT WHILE YOU
DRY YOUR BIKE!

From Step 1 you should have noticed any scratches in your paint,
abrasions, or bluing/golding on your pipes.  Use Scratch Out Custom
Glaze on scratches & clear coat abrasions.   Use
 BLUE-B-GONE  to
remove bluing/golding anywhere you see it along the exhaust path.   Use
microfiber cloths to wipe when finished.  Surface should be clean and
repaired at the end of this step!

Unless your an experienced detailer, start at the front and work your way
"around your bike".  Here you should be using NuVIEW CUSTOM PAINT &
PLASTIC GLAZE for painted areas applying with clean areas of your
MICROFIBER CLOTH.   Treat your chrome surfaces with MIRACLE METAL
POLISH remembering that wiping on and wiping off is not going to bring
out the shine in your chrome or metal!   Use a little muscle, focus in small
inch by inch areas.

Use Luster Lace Strips to reach those areas that are hard to reach, or have
'back sides" that you can't reach.   Also use these strips on your spoke
wheels!

Apply BLACK OUT - ENGINE RESTORER to your engine to restore, and
protect from heat chips.  This step brings the deep black color back to life!

Step back and take a breath!  You're almost done...  Go back now and
using your microfiber cloth, put the finishing wipe down on your entire bike.
Wipe every possible area at least once, leaving behind a perfect finish.  If
you spot any area that is not PERFECT, go back and get it!

18
Put detailing chemicals back in safe area (away from young children),
clean your cloths, mitts, etc
