Repairing does not mean fixing the light that doesn't work, although, when you do the PRE
WASH review, you should take note of wear areas and get right on them after you finish your
detail.
Repairing is focused on 2 major areas. Scratches in the paint, and bluing (or 'golding') on your
pipes. First, when we're talking scratches, we don't mean the chip you got in your tank when
you missed the wood block, while parking at the Cabbage Patch. The kind of scratches we're
talking about are more along the lines of your honey dragging her jacket over you fender or hard
bag, or perhaps you dragged the gas nozzle across the tank, or those scratches in your clear
coat you got when you tied down your jacket and it banged around on your fender! Those
scratches, (and EVERY BIKE WE DETAIL HAS THEM!), will not come out on their own during a
wash... Scratch Out Custom Glaze is the perfect solution for those scratches, abrasions and
stains that everyone has or will get, in their clear coat..
Pipe cleaning is the second most important part of the repair process. Now you're wondering
why is that?.. We'll here's the answer. If you work on those areas prone to bluing or golding,
every time you detail your bike, WE won't have to do it when you bring it into the shop for your
semi-annual detail! There is no easy way around this one... Once it;s blue it's almost too late
to avoid the hard work. Get on the bluing early on, and remember, bluing and golding are an
indicator of bad timing, or a problem fuel air mixture. Get that fixed and most of your
blugin/golding problems go away.. But to get out the bluing or golding you currently have, use
Blue-b-gone. It will get rid of the colors you don't want! This is not easy, and any product that
says it is, is just plain wrong. This is hard work, and take time.. Now get going and use the
products below to get your bike ready for restoration!

Repairing your finish
is the second step in
the detail process. In
this step you fix the
finish problems
caused by neglect,
accidental scrapes,
abuse, environmental
issues etc. This step
is critical to the detail
process as it prepares
your bike for the final
step, restoring.
